This Dory was built by the late Bill Freese. He lived on Beaver Island for better than 30 years and ran a small wood working shop. In 1994 he produced this incredible boat for my father. It took over 500 hours to produce. The boat is made of Cherry wood taken off from the island. Each piece is hand laid and absolutely built to perfection. This boat is is the combination of Function meets Art.This boat is water ready, but was never functionally used. My father used it as a decorative piece in his home. As you look at the pictures, you will see the unbelievable craftsmanship it took to build such a boat. The boat is approximately 8' from bow to stern, and a beam of 4'.
