So Please make sure you read all of the description and view all the photo's before you bid or purchase using the buy it now. Up for sale is my vintage 1990 Baja Bowrider 19 Foot Boat, I/O Motor & Trailer. It has a GM V6 4.3L with an Alpha1 1 out drive. Sundeck & swim platform. See images. The Boat motor has not run since May 2016. Went to run motor in June 2016 and it would not turn over at all. Just Clicks. Ran excellent last May. I pulled the starter and had it checked out. It was good according to Advance Auto Parts Store. I do not know what the problem is for I am not a boat mechanic. Also the boat was taking on water the last time I took out and the bilge was running frequently. I had a boat mechanic take a look at the problem after that and he told me the Y pipe for the exhaust system was leaking into the the bilge and needs to be fixed or replaced. He said that would require pulling the motor because the y pipe is in between the rear of the motor and transom. I thought I would have the motor rebuilt when I pulled it out it out to replace the Y pipe. However the hurricane has taken all our finances and I am not going to be able to have it done at all. I still need a roof at my house and I just can't afford to keep the boat anymore. This is really a great opportunity to get a great deal on a quality Baja boat, especially if you are a mechanic. I have had a lot of work done since I bought it back in 2003.
In 2006 I had the block and heads rebuilt. The motor has only 134 hrs on it. I also installed a new hour meter when I did the motor rebuild. At that time I also installed new exhaust manifolds, water circulation system, fuel pump and much more. Very expensive project to have that done.
In 2015 I had the Alpha 1 out drive completely rebuilt, the bellows changed, and installed a new 4 finned prop. As my regular maintenance in March of 2016 I had the water pump and gear oil changed. All was good and was running great in May. Trailer works great also. I had new leaf springs installed in 2010. Recent new tire's and 1 new rim. Trailer could use some new lower rollers and new trailer lights. Has a new Wench. Has stereo system. Full gauges. Does need some reupholstering as you can see in the photo's. This boat is an awesome riding very sleek shallow v-hull. You can pull up to any shoreline no matter how shallow the water is. I also had a new Bimini top made to block the hot sun and enjoy the breeze on the hottest day's. Always covered and garaged since I bought it in 2003. Always cleaned the motor after use and kept well maintained mechanically. Hull is in excellent condition.
In 2012 I had a new complete fuel system installed including a new 26 gallon fuel tank, fuel pump, Mercruiser carburetor, and everything in between.
Great looking and riding boat and well worth a restoration. In 1990 this boat cost over $25,000 new. It would be much more now for the same. I have estimated at least $8,000 in new and rebuilt parts. That does not include what the mechanics have charged me. At least a couple of thousand there. I have checked and I can see that a 19 foot Baja bow rider that is not running and in way worse condition needing much more work is selling for around $3500. I feel $3995is a fantastic deal for this boat. All that you really have to do is replace the exhaust Y pipe and maybe some engine work while you have the motor out, ( I do not know why it will not turn over), Could be something simple. Great family boat that seats 8 people or 1200 lbs. It is fully titled and ready to take home. Summer is coming and you have a great opportunity here to get a great boat. If you are a mechanic the deal is even sweeter even if you want to just repair and flip it.
I do not use stock photo's. The photo/scan you see is the actual boat you will will be purchasing. Don't forget to check my feedback for your confidence.
