APLOGIES FOR THE PHOTOS BUT I WILL GET SOME MORE UP TO DATE ONES THIS WEEKENDI HAVE BEEN HARD WORKING ON THIS TUG BOAT AND THE PICTURES ARE OF IT WHEN I BOUGHT IT BUT IT HAS UNDERGONE MANY CHANGES AND IMPROVEMENTS SO THE PICTURES WILL BE UPDATED OVER THE WEEKEND.I CAN GET IT LIFTED OUT AND HAVE THE HULL INSPECTED AND WASHED PRIOR TO PAINTING AND PROBABLY WILL GET IT DONE THIS MONTH BUT WILL TAKE UNTIL THE END OF NOVEMBER AS IT NEEDS GRIT BLASTING AND SURVEYING AND THEN PAINTING NUMEROUS TIMES WITH TOP QUALITY PAINTS.THE BOAT WAS PREVIOUSLY USED AS A LIVEABOARD AND AS A RESULT HASNT BEEN MAINTAINED AS IT SHOULD OF BEEN SO IT WILL NEED DOING UP INSIDE AND OUT. KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR FURTHER PICTURES AS THE BOAT GETS PAINTED AND WORKED ON.ITS STEEPED IN HISTORY AND THERE IS A YOUTUBE LINK THAT SHOWS THE BOAT IN 1964 BEING USED PULLING SIX FULLY LOADED BARGES IN LONDON. SO JUST TYPE IN 1964 LIGHTERMAN APPRENTICE.THE ENGINE DOES WORK BEAUTIFULLY AND HAS HAD THE WATER PUMP STRIPPED AND RESEALED PLUS NEW HOSES, ITS ALSO HAD A NEW STAINLESS STEEL FUEL TANK, WATER SEPARATOR FUEL FILTER AND HOSES. IT STARTS FIRST TIME AND SOUNDS SWEET AS A NUT. THE ENGINE IS A STUNNING 6  CYLINDER GARDNER 6LW THATS HAD A NEW FUEL PUMP AND NEW STARTER MOTORTHE WHEELHOUSE IS VERY BIG COMPARED TO MANY OTHER BOATS OF SIMILAR SIZES AND WOULD MAKE A SPACIOUS GALLEY AND DINER. THE 240V SYSTEM IS ALL REWIRED AND WORKING AS IT SHOULD DO, JUST BASIC PLUMBING LEFT THE DO BEFORE FIXING THE KITCHEN UNITS IN PLACE AND INSTALLING THE NEW LAMINATED FLOORINGI HAVE OVER £1000 WORTH OF NEW PAINT TO GO WITH THE BOAT AT THE ASKING PRICETHERES PLENTY OF INSTRUMENTS ON THE NEW DASH PANEL THAT WILL KEEP YOU BUSY FOR HOURS, THE LADDER IN THE WHEELHOUSE LEADS DOWN INTO A FULL SIZE BATHROOM WITH A BATH/SHOWER , SINK AND TOILET THAT CAN ALL GO WITH THE BOAT. THERE IS AN ELECTRIC WATER PUMP THAT PROVIDES WATER PRESSURE TO THE HOT AND COLD WATER SUPPLY BUT AGAIN WILL NEED INSTALLINGWHERE THE TOILET IS NOW IN THE BOW I WOULD REMOVE THAT AND KEEP THAT AS A UTILITY STORE AND PUT A WASHER AND DRYER IN THERE AS ITS IDEAL FOR THE SPACE AVAILABLE WHICH IS ALSO AVAILABLE.THERE IS A SMALL HATCHWAY/DOOR INTO THE BEDROOM WHICH CAN ONLY BE DESCRIBED AS HUGE COMPARED TO MOST BOAT BEDROOMS, IT HAS A KING SIZE DOUBLE BED.THE BEDROOM LEADS INTO THE ENGINE ROOM WHICH IS QUITE IMPRESSIVE AS IT HAS HAD THE FUEL TANKS REMOVED AND WORK BENCHES INSTALLED, AGAIN FUNCTIONAL BUT NOT PRETTY YET.  THE AFT STORE ROOM BELOW DECKS ARE IMPRESSIVELY HUGE AND COULD EASILY BE MADE INTO A BUNK ROOM TO HOUSE TWO BEDS PLUS YOU COULD STILL HOUSE THE FUEL TANK THATS THERE AND A 10KVA GENERATOR (SUPPLIED BUT NOT FITTED), STAINLESS STEEL BILGE PUMP, AUXILLARY DIESEL ENGINE WITH GEARBOX (SUPPLIED BUT NOT FITTED) PLUS A WHOLE ARRAY OF OTHER ODDS AND SODS THAT YOU COULD FIT IN THERE LIKE EXTRA WATER TANKS ETC.ON THE REAR DECK ITS LENDING ITSELF TO BE A LOVELY AREA FOR BBQ's AND LOUNGING AROUND, I WOULD EVEN SUGGEST YOU SPLASH OUT ON A CANOPY AND POLES TO ENCLOSE THE AREA SO YOU CAN USE IT ALL YEAR ROUNDI HAVE A LARGE SOLAR PANEL TO GO WITH THE BOAT AND A 17FT DORY WITH AN OUTBOARD ENGINE SHOULD YOU WANT TO MOOR THE BOAT ON A SWINGING MOORING AND GET OUT AND BACK TO IT. THERE IS ALSO AN 8 MAN LIFE RAFT PLUS FENDERS, ROPES ETC.I COULD HELP YOU WITH THE REPAIRS AND REFURBISHMENT SHOULD YOU REQUIRE IT BUT THAT WILL BE AT YOUR EXPENSE AND NOT INCLUDED AS PART OF THE SALE.I HAD TO GET STARTED ON THE PROJECT ASAP AS THE WEATHER WILL CHANGE IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS SO IF YOUR SERIOUSLY INTERESTED THEN GET DOWN TO SEE IT ASAP AS IT WILL GO CHEAP AS IT IS OR BE SOLD WHEN ITS ALL DONE AT A PRICE FAR HIGHER THAN IT IS LISTED NOW.SO IN SUMMARY IVE CUT AWAY THE RUSTY OLD GUNNELS AROUND THE TOPSIDES THAT WERE DANGEROUS AND UGLY AND HAD STEEL POSTS WELDED FRONT TO BACK WITH BRACKETS TO HOLD PLY SHEETS BETWEEN THE POSTS BEFORE PUTTING A RAIL ALL THE WAY ROUND.I'VE ALSO PAINTED THE WHEEL HOUSE AND SEALED ALL THE WINDOWS.
