Only the saloon covers have needed replacing (as they are exposed to direct sun).There's some distortion when I uploaded and compressed the video to reduce its size - its not the boat bending! :))Although it was a calm looking cruise (testimony to the S28's stability and seaworthiness), it was a really bad week for weather (it was the week of extreme in 2014 ) and those waves were huge - some up to 2.5m and moving fast ... only a few thrill seekers with jet-ski's [and silly's like us and the yacht] were on the sea ... that yacht we passed was disappearing behind the waves at times - sometimes we could only see mast and sails. We were travelling from Dover to Southampton that day (she had come over the english channel from the dutch canals in Netherlands via Brussels and France the day before), and we were cruising pretty fast (slowed down at about 1:16 to vary speed) as forecast was bad for evening and the next day ... Bertha was active and struck again the next day with ferocity with waves breaking over the fore-deck ... unfortunately didn't think to video it, but other than water coming over and a bit more pitching the ride was very stable and steady ... only a bit slower to make way in the huge seas. > > >
