Ida, AR General Description: This 2003 34’ Myacht by Tracker 3512 Houseboat Pontoon partially submerged when a storm caused interior of vessel to take on water. The storm blew tree limbs and debris onto the roof of the vessel along with deck furniture from other vessels docked near by. The debris damaged the top railings on the upper deck/roof of the houseboat. Water entered the vessel from the top deck and ran down the walls into the front salon. There appeared to be no damage to the engines or hull, all damage was to the top deck, interior and gunwale. There was approximately eight inches of water in cabin floor and the vessel was listing toward the aft. The twin aluminum pontoon hull appears to be in good condition for age with evidence of being docked in a permanent wet slip as would be expected for a vessel of this size and age. The vessel was reported to have been well maintained and in fair to good condition for this age and size vessel prior to accident. The starboard side gunwale shows damage approximately 36 inches along the starboard side near the back corner of the vessel. It appears the vessel may have impacted the dock and ripped approximately 36 inches of the aluminum rub railing. There is another area approximately six inches along the same rub railing on the starboard side near the front corner of the vessel that was dented and damaged. The brown paneling on the interior walls both port and starboard sustained heavy water damage. This damage extends from ceiling to floor forward of the main salon at the helm starboard side and also at the front window port side. This appears to be the primary entry point of the water, which appears to have entered from the top deck. The top fiberglass deck over the front corners of the main salon may have lifted and separated slightly as a result of heavy wind allowing water to enter the vessel. It is also possible the mounting holes for the top railing may have been compromised as a result of the storm damage allowing water to penetrate the fiberglass on the top deck. Water entering the interior of the vessel damaged all carpet, wall paneling, particle board seating, bench supports and particle board cabinets. Mold is present on interior walls, carpet, cabinets and furniture. Some of the particleboard furniture has softened, weakened and begun to separate. The weakened condition of the particleboard cabinets and furniture caused by the water damage began to break down during the haul out and transport which appears to have caused some of the cabinets to separate from the walls. Not all equipment could be tested as no power to vessel at time of inspection. Other: AC: rooftop AC not tested as no power to vessel, condition unknown. Gauges and controls were operable during testing of engines Hardtop, section over aft deck in poor condition. Swim platform in fair condition Windshield and other windows: The windows were not broken, but there was considerable silicone around the windows in an attempt to stop leaking. Florida 6% state sales tax will apply for Florida residents. Storage charges will accrue after the 10 day grace period. Loading fees will apply if no trailer included. The winning bidder ("buyer") is allowed an inspection period to verify that the item substantially complies with the published description. A buyer who has inspected an item prior to final bid shall be deemed to have accepted the condition of the item at the time of the inspection but may reserve inspection following close of the auction only as to any changes in the item between the time of the initial inspection and a subsequent inspection made within the time for voiding the sale as set forth herein.
